PERSON CENTRED (PERSONALISED) CARE APPROACH

  • We believe that the service user should be at the centre of everything we do within the care home. All the services will be provided and tailormade to suit every single individual using our service.

  • We endeavour to involve the service user in all aspects of their personal care and focus all care services around the individual to ensure we are meeting their care needs as effectively as possible.

  • We will be responsive to the service users changing care requirements by stringently observing changes and re-evaluating the clients care plans in real time.

MAINTAINING AN INDIVIDUAL’S IDENTITY, INDEPENDENCE AND SELF-ESTEEM

  • We believe that our care should be focused on maintaining an individuals identity. Everybody has different interests and everybody has the right to control their own lives. We will individually support the service users interests and enable them to be as independent as possible. We will find ways to innovate and ensure that the individual is able to achieve their goals with positive outcomes.

GIVING SUPPORT AND CARE IN A DIGNIFIED, RESPECTFUL MANNER

  • Everybody has the right to be treated with dignity and respect when receiving care. As a company we endeavour to do everything possible to ensure this highly important aspect is maintained.

  • We will treat all service users equally without discrimination whilst embracing their differences in culture, ethnicity, sex, sexual preference, age, social standing beliefs and opinions.

  • We will maintain privacy at all times. This includes the service user, their belongings, their personal space and private information.

SAFETY AND SECURITY

  • Safety is a very important aspect that plays a major roll in every facet of our service.

  • Incorrect information leads to mistakes being made, misinterpretation and inevitable failure of procedure. Because of this we ensure that all records are kept up to date, regularly monitored, audited and scrutinised to ensure information integrity and accuracy are continually upheld.

  • Systems and processes are in place to prevent mistreatment of service users and staff are all trained in the recognition of safeguarding, noticing signs of abuse, deprivation of liberty, improper treatment, etc and are promoted to immediately enact the whistleblowing procedure without fear of reprisal.

  • We provide a safe, comfortable, homely environment for the service users by maintaining and adapting the building regularly to the service users requirements. We also ensure that all safety checks are completed on time and any problems found are acted upon and rectified immediately.

EMPOWERING PEOPLE

  • It is our belief that all service users should be empowered to speak up, voice their opinions and be in control of the services they receive. It is our duty to provide support to the individual and to assist the person in the best way possible, whether it be a complaint, a concern or requiring an advocate to act within their best interests.

SENSE OF COMMUNITY

  • We believe in building a warm, empathetic and trusting relationship with the service users. We hope all service users feel a sense of belonging within our community. We will always treat everyone with honour, respect and equality.

HAPPY AND EDUCATED EMPLOYEES

  • We believe that the retention of employees is paramount in maintaining the highest possible quality of care across the care homes services.

  • Great emphasis will be placed on staff training to ensure all staff are qualified and knowledgeable in all areas of their individual roles.

  • We also believe in investing in staff. An employee development program will be implemented to improve a person’s growth within the industry.

UNIFIED APPROACH TO CARE

  • We ensure that the care is dependable and unified across all team members by encouraging the sharing of information between those involved in the service users care. This is to ensure all team members have a unified understanding of the individuals needs and give care in a consistent, predictable manner.

  • We promote team members to share their opinions and to discuss any changes or amendments that need to be made to an individuals care. This enables us to be proactive and enable us to change a person’s care plan to suit their new requirements or react fast to mitigate any foreseeable future problems.
